Aerosponse was created to aid Public Safety in starting, configuring, and expanding sUAS operations and programs. We remember how confusing the process was when we created a sUAS program for our department. The challenges were overwhelming and we learned there is a lack of information on starting and maintaining a sUAS program.
There are a lot of moving parts to a successful program, and we at Aerosponse are here to help. We know what it takes to create a sustainable sUAS program. We analyze and configure a program that’s based on your departments needs, and budget. Our knowledge and expertise prevent overspending and eliminate the purchase of costly unnecessary equipment. This allows for a larger training budget, and the procurement of future equipment for expansion.

John Wakie

John Wakie is a 17 year veteran firefighter and has been operating drones for over 11 years. Combining his two passions became a reality when his Department decided to start a sUAS program.
"We began our program with a tethered sUAS system and began to constantly look for ways to expand into free flight operations. We were always behind the curtains making sure the correct systems and workflows were in place for when that time would come." That day did eventually come and now we have a fleet made up of 10 free flight sUAS and one tethered sUAS.
"Being on the forefront of building a sUAS program for such a large department was no easy task. My colleagues and I learned a lot in the process. Constantly looking at the latest equipment and the endless hours of researching sUAS allowed me to accept a position as a sUAS instructor for New York State Preparedness Training Center. In our classes we work with Public Safety sUAS operators from all over the country. We help them create safe practices and offer ways to safely expand their operations, and training. Finally taking my two passions to the next level (yet again) we created Aerosponse."

Michael Wall

Michael Wall is a firefighter with 19 years of service in the largest Fire Department in the Country. As one of only a handful firefighters assigned to his Departments sUAS program, Michael provides effective sUAS flight in the highly controlled airspace of NYC.
As a licensed Part 107 Pilot he has flown both with the Department and privately. The majority of incidents piloted have occurred in the Class B airspace surrounding Laguardia, JFK, and Newark airports. In addition to his Part 107 license Michael was also a sUAS instructor for the New York State Preparedness Training Center.
"I love the ability to change public perception of sUAS operations and be a part of something so groundbreaking in Public Safety. So many advancements in Police and Fire technology are the result of tragedy within a Department. To be a attached to a program that is completely proactive is a rare and exciting thing. I strive to develop Public Safety sUAS programs that, once established, their absence becomes the abnormality in the eyes of the public and the City Government. That is why we created Aerosponse."

sUAS Program Assessment

Our first priority is to discover the unique needs of your Department. This is the foundation to creating the proper workflows, training, and procurement of effective equipment. This is where the magic of a successful sUAS program begins... "The Assessment".
Here we dive deep into what goals your Department looking to achieve. We interview staff, check airspace requirements, discuss legal issues, and begin to create an outline. This is the best way to aid your Department in achieving those objectives. The assessment is a necessary step and is done regardless of whether or not there is a program established. The complete assessment allows us to see potential problems before they manifest into larger issues. We take steps to ensure that we give your Department the best and most through program outline possible.
